2am alarm, on the road before dawn, and nine straight hours breathing in hairspray 😅 but watching every single one of the girls walk out feeling unreal for the races? Worth all of it 💕 Aintree is one of my favourite days of the year to work - the buzz, the dresses, the nerves before the first photo. This is exactly why I do what I do. 😍🤣

A full day doing the job I genuinely love 💕 People assume hairdressing is just cutting and colouring, but the best bit is the chair chat - the catch-ups, the gossip, the "I've got a wedding next week, sort me out" panic, the regulars who feel like mates. Being self-employed in Liverpool means I get to do it my way: take my time, get to know everyone properly, and never rush a head out the door. I trained hard for years to work like this, and going out on my own was the scariest and best decision I've made - just me, my chair and the people who book in. No two days are the same and that's exactly how I like it. One minute it's a full colour change, the next a fringe trim and a proper natter, then a blow dry for someone who just needs an hour to feel like themselves again. That's the bit that never shows up on a price list: you don't just leave with good hair, you leave feeling a bit lighter. Whether it's a fresh colour, a sharp cut or a blow dry to feel human again, I put everything into it. Spend a productive day off with me 🤍 Even on my days away from the chair I can't sit still - a bit of yoga, a bit of painting, and finally getting round to the home decorating I've been putting off 🧘🏽‍♀️🎨🏡 Rest looks different for everyone, and mine usually involves a paintbrush.

Let's talk about why a weekly blow dry is honestly one of the best things you can do for your hair 🫶🏼 First off, it saves your hair from damage - if I blow-dry it properly once a week, that's far less heat, tugging and breakage than you scorching it at home every other morning with rushed straighteners. Second, it lasts. A good blow dry sets in beautifully and with a bit of care - silk pillowcase, dry shampoo at the roots, a loose plait at night - you'll easily get five, six, even seven days out of it. Third, it just makes life easier. No more standing over the sink every morning fighting with it; you roll out of bed and you're done. And honestly, it's twenty minutes that's all about you, a proper bit of headspace in a mad week.
