§ seasea vs the rest
Honest comparison.
You've got options for getting seen. Most of them either rent you your own audience, charge you to talk to your own customers, or leave you with a link that doesn't do the job. Here's the straight comparison.

Yell
Yell will sell you a listing, ads and a website package. Listings run around £30-£100+ a month; their websites start near £499 with a service charge of roughly £60-£75 a month on top. The catch people most often raise is ownership - a Yell-built site can be hard to take elsewhere, so you keep paying to keep it live. seasea is one flat price, and your link and QR are yours.
Checkatrade, MyBuilder, Bark and the other lead sellers
These aren't pages, they're middlemen. You pay to be put in front of customers, and on most of them you're quoted alongside several other trades for the same job. Checkatrade is a membership (commonly £50-£140+ a month plus VAT, often on a 12-month contract, before add-ons). MyBuilder and Bark charge per lead (roughly £5-£50 depending on the job). seasea charges you nothing per customer. We're not a directory and we don't sell leads - your page sends people straight to you. No lead fees, ever.
Google Business Profile
Get one. It's free and it helps you show up on Maps. But it's a reviews-and-pins listing, not a home for your work - no embedded videos, no real story, no QR kit to print. Use Google to be found; use seasea to be chosen. They work together.
Instagram / TikTok bio link (and Linktree)
Your bio link is one link, and a tool like Linktree just turns it into a list of more links. None of it is a business page - no prices, no documents, no proper contact card, nothing built to print and display. And it all still lives on someone else's platform. seasea is the actual destination that link should point to.
