Cookie Policy

Last updated: 6 July 2026

The short, honest version: one set of cookies keeps you signed in, analytics only runs with cookies if you say yes, and saying no changes nothing about how the site works.

1. Essential cookies (always on)

When you sign in, we set the session cookies that keep you signed in. They're strictly necessary - the account simply doesn't work without them - so they don't need consent and can't be switched off. They identify your session, nothing else.

2. Analytics (your choice)

We use PostHog to understand how the site is used and Microsoft Clarity to see where pages confuse people. What runs depends on the choice you make in the cookie banner:

If you accept: PostHog sets analytics cookies so we can recognise return visits, and Clarity loads.

If you reject, or simply don't choose: no analytics cookies are set. PostHog runs in cookieless mode (each visit is anonymous and unlinked), any stray analytics cookies are actively removed, and Clarity doesn't load at all. The site works exactly the same.

Your choice itself is stored in your browser (localStorage, not a cookie) and lapses after 7 days, which is why the banner comes back now and then.

3. What we don't do

No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. No selling data. Embedded TikTok videos on business pages come from TikTok's player, which behaves according to TikTok's own policies once you interact with it.

4. More

How we handle personal data generally is in the Privacy Policy; the contract itself is the Terms of Service. Questions: hello@seasea.io.
