How we got your details

1. Who's contacting you

seasea (seasea.io) is run by SEA SEA DM LTD, company number 17230391, registered in England and Wales. We're the data controller for the contact details described here. We're a small company - it's the founder, Mick, who sends these emails and who answers replies, at hello@seasea.io.

2. What details we hold

Only your business contact information: your business name, a public business email address, and where relevant a public phone number, town or social handle. That's it. We don't hold anything private, and we haven't bought a data list.

3. Where we got them

From publicly available business listings - your own website, your public social profiles, business directories and similar places where you've published your contact details so customers can reach you.

We put these together into a shortlist of UK beauty and grooming businesses we thought seasea could help, then checked which ones are registered limited companies so we only email businesses on a business-to-business basis.

4. Why we got in touch (our lawful basis)

We emailed you because we build a product for exactly your kind of business - a simple, shareable page that helps beauty, aesthetics and grooming businesses get their work seen on TikTok and Instagram - and we think it might be useful to you.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: promoting a relevant business product to another business (a registered company), by email, in a way we've kept proportionate - a short shortlist, business addresses only, an easy opt-out, and no more than a couple of follow-ups. This is standard business-to-business marketing under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.

You have the right to object to this at any time. If you do, we stop - see below.

5. How to opt out (one reply)

Reply to any of our emails with "remove" (or click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email) and we'll stop emailing you and delete your details from our outreach list. No forms, no hoops. You can also email hello@seasea.io and ask us to remove you.

If you don't reply, you may hear from us occasionally, but only now and then - we don't keep chasing, and you can opt out at any time with a one-word reply.

6. How long we keep them

If you opt out or ask us to delete your details, we remove them from our outreach records promptly. If you don't respond, we keep the business contact details only as long as the outreach is active and then remove them - we don't hold a permanent marketing database of businesses that didn't reply.

We don't share your details with anyone else for marketing. The only third party involved is our email provider, Brevo, which sends the email on our behalf under its own data-processing terms. We don't sell your details.

7. Your rights

Because these are business contact details that identify a person, UK GDPR still gives you rights over them: to see what we hold, to correct it, to delete it, and to object to us using it (which, for marketing, we always honour). To use any of these, just email hello@seasea.io.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) - though we'd rather you told us first so we can put it right.
